Jesse Sung is the architect of the 357 Investments platform and oversees the firm’s commercial real estate assignments in the San Francisco Bay Area, specializing in stabilized and distressed foreign direct investment opportunities for Chinese and Taiwanese investors with a focus on multi-family and office asset classes.

Mr. Sung, a native and resident of the East Bay, is a FINRA securities adviser and a licensed real estate broker in the State of California. Mr. Sung is fluent in Mandarin.

Managing Director | Southern California

Michael Knudsen oversees the firm’s commercial real estate assignments in Greater Los Angeles, and manages the 357 Investments NNN Properties Group, specializing in investment sales, ground-up development and urban infill redevelopment of retail net leased investment properties on a national basis. Michael has a passion for real estate finance and development, and has spent the last six years honing his quantitative skills and construction knowledge to position himself as a strategic partner capable of creating value for property investors, owners and developers of commercial space.

Prior to co-founding 357 Investments in 2011, Michael worked as a retail investment broker for Coldwell Banker Commercial North County in Glendale, California, specializing in investment sales, ground-up development and urban infill redevelopment of retail net leased investment properties throughout North Los Angeles County.

Prior to Coldwell Banker Commercial, Michael worked as a project manager for the Integrated Real Estate Solutions (IRES) Group of Colliers International, overseeing the leasing and construction buildouts of over five million square feet of multi-tenant office and industrial space throughout North Los Angeles County.

Before Colliers, Michael worked at CB Richard Ellis as an associate with the Retail Development Advisory Group, actively participating in the leasing of eight commercial power and lifestyle center projects totaling more than three million square feet and $60 million in consideration, as well as exclusive tenant representation assignments for Target and Home Depot in North Los Angeles County.

Michael speaks Korean at an intermediate level, and is currently pursuing fluency by attending formal language classes at the International Institute of California.

Joe Gurdock
Director | Asset Management

Joe Gurdock is responsible for sourcing attractive real estate acquisition opportunities in the San Francisco Bay Area for 357 Investments’ clients, managing the Northern California division of the NNN Properties Group, as well as overseeing property and asset management duties for the network’s real estate portfolio throughout California. Mr. Gurdock brings a wealth of experience to the 357 team and has a very extensive curriculum vitae, including:

  • The sourcing and successful development of over 125 retail food stores (Peet’s Coffee & Tea, East Coast/Sonoma Valley Bagel, Pasqua Coffee Bars, and Illy Caffe USA).
  • Conducting licensing programs which resulted in the placement of regional and national retail franchises in international airports such as JFK, SFO, LGA, SJO, SAC, SAN, LAX and others.
  • Executing a five-year business plan that resulted in the private placement of $13.5MM to expand a retail concept.

In addition to his role with 357 Investments, Mr. Gurdock is the managing principal of the Gurdock Group (Lafayette, CA), a full service commercial retail real estate brokerage and trust/estate management firm for private portfolios.

Lisa Jiang
Director | Business Development - Asia

Lisa Jiang is responsible for identifying, creating and developing 357 Investments’ long-term business relationships with foreign investors in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, playing an integral role in expanding the brand in the Pacific Rim.

Ms. Jiang is a seasoned, proven real estate professional with experience in both real estate and business development and brokerage.  In addition to her role with 357 Investments, Ms. Jiang serves as Senior Vice President of Avalon Health Care Group – China Initiative, bringing post-acute medical services including rehabilitation, senior care, assisted and independent living facilities to China’s nascent healthcare infrastructure.

Ms. Jiang also has over six years of experience as a highly successful real estate consultant with Coldwell Banker and Equity Real Estate in the greater Salt Lake City area, specializing in the sales of residential and multifamily properties with a team that has closed over 500 transactions since 2006.

Ms. Jiang, a resident of Salt Lake City, UT, is a licensed real estate agent in the State of Utah.  Ms. Jiang is fluent in Mandarin.
